macchina per massetti

Speed, precision, easy of use and maximum productivity. In short, all the advantages that a screed machine that produces screeds directly on site can offer. Whether they are pre-mixed, self-levelling or traditional screeds, these innovative systems are the ideal solution for the production of screeds directly on the construction site.

What is a Screed Machine?

Compared to a traditional construction site, where everything is done by hand, time is optimised and the closure of the site is much earlier. It is a fully automatic system that remains constantly in a horizontal position and creates your recipes with maximum versatility. A powerful software allows you to control all dosages accurately, from aggregates of different grain sizes, to binders, additives (both liquid and gel), to fiber additions.

The whole process is recorded in the computer memory and can be exported either through a convenient USB stick or to the internet, using the data SIM card installed on board. The plant is able to realize every kind of screed and substrate. So the screed with natural base, self-levelling, dry, in sand and cement and in expanded clay and the relative substrates.

What are the advantages of using an automatic mixer machine for the production of screeds?

Operator not involved in the creation of the screed

  • the material created is perfectly dosed
  • the material created is of certified quality
  • no more delays due to bad weather because the screed is produced in the machine
  • accelerated lead times

Difference between screed and subfloor

The screed is the surface layer of the substrate on which the floor is then laid. It is the element used immediately above the substrate. To perform all its functions, the screed must be smooth, flat, clean, free of cracks, compact, stable and resistant

Depending on the type we can find:

  • The traditional screed is composed of three materials: cement, sand and water.  The traditional screed is produced inside a liftable mixing barrel placed at the top of the plant. It is automatically lowered to the ground on site.
  • The self-levelling screed, made with moment, on top and chemical additives that, combined with water, becomes fluid and leveling. With Overmat has been patented a sand silo tilting towards the load that allows to contain a 40% greater volume for the same length.
  • Lightened screed. It is a lighter screed that can be used especially in case of renovation or for the floors. It consists of materials such as expanded clay, polystyrene or perlite span instead of sand or gravel.
  • Premixed Screed is a type of screed that guarantees higher performance than traditional screeds thanks to faster drying times. It can be composed of various types of sulphates and calcium alpha-sulphates (anhydrite based), cement, fluidifying agents and selected special aggregates.

The substrate, on the other hand, is the layer of materials between the floor and the screed, necessary to level out irregularities in the floor, protect pipes and improve thermal insulation.

Depending on the materials used, there are also different types of substrate:

  • Sand and cement subfloor, used to quickly reach the project height and proceed with the laying of the floor.
  • Self-levelling background sound. It is a special subgrade that guarantees a fair distribution and the desired level of altitude.
  • Lightened background sound. This is a solution in cellular concrete, with excellent thermo-acoustic insulation, ideal for floors that will be fitted with insulation.
  • Industrial subfloor, made of concrete and suitable for the floors of industrial warehouses and yards.
