A decisive answer to industry demands
Overmat, a cutting-edge company in the design of screed machines, is rising to the challenge by launching the first fully electric screed system for zero-emission construction sites. This important milestone was made possible thanks to the trust of the dealer Mix Master International B.V. and the direct involvement of the end customer Vloerenbedrijf Lau Kerkhof B.V..
The goal was clear: to design and build a 4-axle screed truck from the T series, model MSA 15.5 T PTO, in a fully electric version, capable of delivering the same performance as combustion-powered models—but with a significantly lower environmental impact.
A successful collaboration: Overmat and Volvo Bas Truck
To bring this ambitious project to life, Overmat partnered with VOLVO Bas Truck (locations in the Netherlands and Italy), creating an automated system for mixing and pumping screed that marks a true revolution in the construction sector.

This innovative screed truck is more than just a technical evolution—it represents a new operational mindset, as emphasized by Simone Piovesan, Head of the Overmat Business Unit: “This is a true shift in mentality and logistics. The launch of this Full-Electric system is just the latest step in a journey that Overmat began with the plug-in hybrid versions of the T series. The company is already developing new solutions, including a semi-trailer version with independent electric systems for both the vehicle and the screed unit—offering even greater flexibility and efficiency.
