Polystyrene-based lightweight subfloors
The OVERMAT EPS-series system enables the production of lightweight subfloors (with polystyrene) with maximum precision and efficiency, ensuring consistent quality and a streamlined on-site workflow.
Designed to integrate perfectly within modern floor construction processes, it works in synergy with professional screed machines, optimizing the entire floor build-up from subfloor to final screed layer.
The system is fully automated. Thanks to its versatility, it allows the operator to produce mixes with lightweight aggregates, which are conveniently transported into the machine’s dedicated compartments.
Thanks to the rear double mixing tank, pumping takes place continuously, assuring high quality of the final product combined with an elevated hourly productivity.
The system doses all components in the first mixer, then homogenizes them in the second mixer before pumping the lightweight subfloor material to the installation level. If required, the system can also be equipped with a foam generator to produce lightweight subfloors made of cellular concrete.
The entire process is constantly monitored by the on-board computer, ensuring consistent quality via a series of closed-loop controls. All the operating parameters are set via computer and then constantly monitored and corrected in real time, guaranteeing unbeatable product consistency.
All production can be certified and the data accessed via a web-based archive. As every single load is logged and stored in the system’s memory, satisfying even the most demanding clients.
The lightweight subfloor is used as an intermediate layer between the structural slab and the screed. It is produced using a cement binder dosed at 250–350 kg/m³, a low-density insulating material (such as polystyrene), and, if required, foam generated by a specific additive.
